This site was created by myself, Matthew Morgeneier, with love and support from my family.
For me, this website is about much more than a farm.
After spending years on the streets struggling with addiction and living through some of the darkest and most difficult experiences of my life, I eventually reached a point where I was finally able to get clean and begin rebuilding.
During that time, my late stepfather gave me the opportunity to come stay here on this farm. I don’t think he could have known just how much that opportunity would change my life.
This place gave me somewhere to breathe. Somewhere to heal. Somewhere to begin imagining a future again.
And that is a big part of what A Country Vibe means to me.
My dream is to transform this beautiful farm into everything I believe it can become—not only for my family, but as a place and a project that can eventually help other people too. I know firsthand how much a change of environment, a little peace, and someone giving you an opportunity can mean when you are trying to rebuild your life.
I want to find a way to give some of that back.
As A Country Vibe grows, our hope is to improve and preserve the farm, give back to our local community, support charities and causes that matter to us, and hopefully create opportunities to help people who may be struggling through difficult chapters of their own lives.
For now, these are our humble beginnings.
